Yesterday

by Yakari Gabriel   Aug 9, 2011

I caught a glimpse of you yesterday,
on the corner of a one way street..

and,

I wonder how it was
that you could turn
the wheel into such elegance
as if it was a diamond hanging
from the end of your hands..

it was only then that I realized...
how much I wished to be the seatbelt
so I could travel from the warmth of your neck
to the sensuality of your hips..

or perhaps,
the passenger seat
sitting there in pure bliss
inhaling the scent of your heartbeats
and the lovely colors of your skin

I caught a glimpse of you yesterday
and for a moment forgot,
all the wrong you did to me.
