Nothing But You

I've tried everything I can think of stop feeling this way

I've taken bar work for the night and office work for the day

I've tried throwing myself into mindless tasks

I've even started impulse buying, which is ridiculous as I don't even need all these little masks

Everyone around me keeps saying that all I need is a break

But not even that could stop this painful heartbreak

Why is it that you give your all to someone

But never get anything back ?

One minute you're loves young dream

Then the nest minute WHACK !

You're walking around aimlessly wandering where on earth you are

You end up locking yourself out and then at one point almost crashing your car

You stop talking, eating, sleeping practically stop doing everything

All you seem to be able to do is think about him

How green his eyes are

How lovely his smile is

How much you love him

See this is still the present tense no matter how hard you try

You just can't put it in the past

Because at the back of your mind all you see is him

Then wonder why it didn't last

Everyone tells you to move on but no matter who you see

It's not him

It's been pointless

Even after all you've put me through

I still think of nothing but you.
