A shadow of glory

by Nil   Aug 10, 2011

A shadow of glory
Shrouding the remains
An empire once powerful and strong
Now smolders in flames

Once proud with purpose
Now desecrated instead
To what purpose now,
Does the ruined kingdom stand

Tears fall bitterly,
The perpetrator stays
Gallivanting about, careless
Unaware of the decay

Warriors and priests
Magi of the land
Left it mournfully
For the best of the clan

A shadow of glory remains
shrouded in decay
memories of yesterday~
A kingdom's shallow grave
