Tonight

by Yakari Gabriel   Aug 12, 2011

Tonight I find myself,
tossing and turning in bed again..

wondering how it is
That those fireworks you
lighted under my skin
no longer spark,
but burn...

I recollect my memories
I crawl, walk, run and fly in them
hoping to find the you,
you once were or better yet
the you I thought you were..

But,
instead I found a debate
between the heart
that aches, screams and yearns for you
and the mind that is sick, tired and disappointed in you..

and in the end ;

the mind longed to go back to a life without you..

But,
the heart couldn't recall what it was like.
