Time to Forget

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 13, 2011

It's been a while since I stood outside
and let the rain kiss my cheek
I'm usually calm when it rains at night
but deep inside, there's a silent scream
I close my eyes only to see my future
right in front of me
and you aren't in it unfortunately

I guess me and you were a deliberate mistake
you said you loved me but it was genuinely fake
our current history is behind me now
used to have dreams of us exchanging wedding vows
but it's all over; I'm done thinking about you
When I think of your lips, I'll remember what you put me through

for the timeless moment, I was clearly confused
can barely believe how I was so stuck on you
and now that I'm all alone
for once in my life, I'm gonna take this time
to forget all about you and be on my own
