You're Still Here

I know you've left me physically
But my heart still feels no absence.
Every minute I grow strongly
And my soul can sense your essence.

I thought I saw you by the door
And underneath my patio.
I smelled flowers by the lawn
And heard you on the radio.

I see you in sweet dreams
And hope that I'm awake.
Nightmares come in streams
That your pretty image shakes.

I hear your voice throughout the day
Speaking softly in my ear.
Asking me if I'm okay
And if I need you near.

I feel okay just knowing that
You'll soon be in my presence.
I only hope you're smiling and
That God will give us blessings.

Keep me in your mind and soul
And I'll keep you here in mine.
Stay warm and feel whole
So that everything is fine.
