Looking For Reviving Remnants

by Soulful Ensemble   Aug 15, 2011

From time to time
I just want to feel wanted
Not in a sexual way
But loving-hearted.

Words go a long way
When they come from inside
Without asking away
Spurred by the tide.

Flowers need sun
And lions need water.
Affection and love is for some
A human's only starter.

I'd send my soul
Through long desert lands
Just to make you whole
And empty your sand.

I look every day
In most loving ways
For the remnants of love
That are still there,
Where time has them shoved
And sparsed everywhere.

If I can put love together
And once and for all,
I'd revive you forever
From Spring to Fall.

I love you
I search for you
I know that I'll find you.
Love can't be something
If it never feels blue.

Hardships are travelled
And they lead up the hill
In a road paved from gravel
Made by love's will.

I'd step in the way
Of the deadliest knives
For our love today
That fulfills my life.

We can't give up anymore
And I wont turn around
When the ship is ashore
Sailing abound.

I wont ask for a thing
I'll instead try to earn
The affection I sing
In my soul that yearns.

I'm looking for you
And your older cupid.
Even if I feel blue
Giving up is stupid.
