Obsession

by Sigoney Holder   Aug 15, 2011

You do not know what you do to me
Loving you feels like serenity
Holding you all so close to me
What a feeling

Softly kissing your lips
Clawing into your fingertips
Scratching the wall in a state of bliss
What a feeling

Whispering into your ear
Then feeling a gut wrenching fear
What a feeling

Open my eyes to find you gone
Lying on the bed you slept upon
Hoping the loss will not last that long
What a feeling

Running around calling your name
Praying you are just playing a game
Tears rolling down my cheeks
Have not been able to sleep for weeks
What a feeling

Locking myself into the dark
Searching my heart for the mark that has appeared
Since your leaving

Confusion and paranoia sets in
Wondering what tomorrow will bring
Maybe a fix is what I have been concealing

Time starts to go bye
There are no more tears left to cry
Suicide sounds more appealing
What a feeling

You are gone I do not know why
You never even said goodbye
Now all I want to do is die
What a feeling

I do not know what else to do
It is so sick that I am hooked on you
You are my drug and you know it is true
You are my feeling

Suddenly the world turns black
Being dragged off to a quack
Taking pills daily
What a feeling

Now things have changed who knew
That I no longer miss you
I got my life back
What a feeling

Is not it ironic to see
That actually you set me free
It all began with your leaving.
