Cardboard Boxes

by Freeze Tyler   Aug 15, 2011

Packing up my shirts,
The ones I wore to the party,
To dinner,
To the game,
For the snow week,
That ones that are lame.
I'm packing up my shorts,
My pants,
My socks.
My boxers,
My shoes,
My memories.
I'm packing up that time in theatre,
That time in space.
That time we tried,
But finished in last place.
That time we got food,
That time we got coffee.
That time when you hated me;
That time when you loved me.
I'm packing up those feelings
Of joy,
Of played,
Of lust,
Of hate,
Of emptiness,
Of the world being at your feet.
I'm packing up the smiles,
The wild fights,
The miles,
The mellow nights,
The styles,
The short shirts,
The purposes,
The drama I will miss.
That one messed up kiss
I wont tell anyone about.
I'm packing up the old me,
My childhood,
The golden years.
I'm packing my fear
Into these cardboard boxes...
I just hope they're strong enough.
