Within These Walls

by Emily Strickland   Jun 22, 2004

Within These Walls
There Is Nothing But Cold
I Need Some Sign Of Warmth
Maybe A Hand To Hold

Wont Someone Please
Come In And Rescue Me
Break Down These Barriers
And Set My Soul Free

Show Me That Theres Hope
Make The Pain Go Away
Let The Sun Shine Through
So I Can Finally See The Day

No Feeling In This Body
Numbness Is Setting In
Trying To Overcome The Darkness
But It Always Seems To Win

Crumpled On The Floor
No Expression On My Face
Forever I Have Tried
But Cant Get Out Of This Place

Waiting For Someone To Come
So I Wont Feel So Alone
The Fight In Me Is Over
I Can No Longer Survive On My Own

This Place Has Got Me Captured
Hatred In Total Control
No Way I Can Help Myself
Im Another Useless Soul
