Indifference

by Aireus Kayne   Aug 17, 2011

Angel's round me, beg me stay
Yet I know not if I will
I know that devils 'neath me
Tell me just to kill.
I hear the voice of man grow weak
I see its kind grow frail
I watch it struggle to survive
I watch it while it fails.
I sit in the corner,
obsessed so it would seem.
An angel of the darkest kind,
now visits in my dreams.
They say to save humanity
To show the world the way.
They say it is my destiny
They say to start today.
What if I do not wish to save?
What if I do not move?
What if I let you die?
What if I've nothing to prove?
I see the weakness sweeping
Through the world of man
It multiplies as a virus
So begins the fall of man.
Crying over nothing
The war has yet to begin
Save your tears for true pain
And the fear that's setting in.
They are coming to end this
They will see it through.
I am supposed to stop them.
Mankind. I've no desire to save you.
