Let the Sleeping Dogs Lie

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Aug 17, 2011

I have faith in us
Maybe a bit too much
The only problem we have is trust
Too bad it's an important key
That can really mess up you and me
The only thing holding us up is love

Can't we just fuss and fight all through the night
So by tomorrow, like always, we'll be just fine
Just cause I say you're wrong, doesn't mean I'm right
Can't we just let the sleeping dogs lie...for now

We argue everyday
About things so bizarre
But you can't live without me
I wanna be where you always are
I love you too much
You can't imagine letting me go
We may not trust each other
But our strength to move on is the stuff
That everybody who's in love wants
So we fight for our love more than we fight each other
Hearts on our sleeves
But trust is still undiscovered

I'd rather have you in misery
Than not to have you at all
You help me rise when I'm ready to fall
For now, since tonight, there's no stupid fight
Let the sleeping dogs lie
