Sad ? Its actually full of sadness, but still I keep on reading it again, and again, and again. There is something about it that makes me want to read it more than once.

Something about the air tonight
ties the beats of my heart
until I fall back on my bed,

breathless.

A suggestion, add a coma after over again, so the the word breathless gets an extra depth, to show the strength of the emotion.

but absolutely alone.

You have again touched my heart..

This song is not just sad. I deny it that one dimensionality. You have described profound isolation yet one which is self-imposed, you are 'content' even though alone.

This poem both expresses being overwhelmed [Something ... ties the beats of my heart ... until I fall ... breathless"] and your desire for a certain change ["
my prayers to the breath shipping my dreams"].

Yet, you refuse to lower your standards. You do not expect to find the 'dream' that is worthy: ["I'll certainly be content but absolutely alone."]

This is a song of a woman in a tower, glimmering to the world but worthy of more than she has yet found.

There isn't anymore I can say, it's been said by the best above. I enjoyed the read very much. It was heart breaking with determination thrown in. Awesome write

I feel this to be unique is some way I can't put my finger on it but I love the wording and it's really good :)

It would be nice, Nana, if you didn't live so far away. Then we could sit side by side and stare into the campfire and talk about life, and love, and about how stupid and short sighted men are. I hear you hun, I hear you in this verse....I think the world of you:) Don't let anything or anybody drag you down, not ever. Girl power is what you need, make a life for yourself, make THEM beg;)

I love the second part best, and I hope you will find that peace of mind, and never let anyone take that from you again.

I'm not sure what else is left to say, every comment up there is true, it's heartbreaking, it's more than sad, it's deep, emotional, yet so addictive to read. It's more than beautiful. I felt a flutter in my stomach when reading <3 Your words really do get my heart :) You've a wonderful way of portraying such sadness.

Again this poem reminds me of my dream I had last night. I woke up without breath, I was terrified and it was just absolutely haunting. This says so much in so little, I particularly like the first stanza. I think it held the meat of the poem, even though it was so short. :) Beautiful, beautiful!
