Vodka in the Mix of Cheerless Passion.

For two years I thought I could live
on subtle recognitions,
realizing we might never grow a friendship
but that having him close enough
would be an excuse to alter reality.

(footsteps fading
heart still breaking itself...
with school in session
and faint traces of
"let me be".)

All the while knowing I couldn't forget
his deep hello's or quick goodbyes,
so surprised to see me speaking
only to him, right to his soul.

(I always felt so touched,
imagining I had a secret to love,
a him to admire)..

but it was just my signature that he ever saw,
until the ink interfered and he wanted to return
[to memories where I wouldn't
stop and stare once more]

I never bought the idea of drinking.
Yet, the man I had held onto
became too much of a color,
too much to consume.
Why did I want to wear that light
in the begging eyes of dreams?

Here I rest:
someone wanting
to try to stop the bleeding,
from a single word previously believed.

Here he haunts me, ripping the mirrors
to let a leading princess beat suicide.
How he has watched me unknowingly,
his ghost now able to transfer time
and change the confidence I faced.

I lost myself among the built drama-
walking with no more values,
getting nothing out of
following
sinking
obsessing.

I am another controlled fool
dancing around my mind to defy logic
I created for my demise,
matching my pulse with his;
It's left me a skeleton of a woman,
wandering at the walls
of a medicinal love hypocrisy.

    Reminds me of my ex tht i had she was my world ultimatly my end with humanity i lost all my values after she left me very good work in depth the pictures vivid as daylight word choice spectacular an the thots were an awesome add on good job =}

    Ok, so, I'm really left here speechless, knowing not what to write regarding this piece of art! your sad pictures were really captivating and they flowed easily, smoothly; too. You (like what Abed has said) master sad pieces, (I never read a dark poem by you :P--but surely I will!).
    As I read this, I was truly amazed, believe me I wanted to copy/past it to my PC because I may need to read it everytime I feel like... y'know, helpless. :) the images were breath-taking, I loved them totally. Your title drew me in, I found myself in the middle of an amazing piece of poetry...with so much emotions, metaphors and pictures in the words, I felt inspired, right away.

    Amazing write. :)

    I liked the VODKA word in the title.. and so i read it.. and so, i fell in love with your beautiful, captivating words and the pretty soul you pour when you write..

    Man i picked this one obviously cause the title is very very catchy, with the word cheerless haha..
    I loved this poem, donu if its true, but t spoke to my heart wish so much sadness,
    the moments when i lie at myself, just cause it feels better to believe so..
    amazing really, i love ur subtle honesty, and how in this poem u dared speak ur heart, from the 1st line to the end, i kind of believed each word, something i only feell when reading Brtt!
    so thats a gr8 point haha..
