My feet ache as I climb,
This terrible mountain I made
The way over the top,
I must lead,
If I want to succeed
I can't look down,
Keep my head up high
The high sky is treacherous too,
Discouraging every step that I make
It's gray grimace,
Casts down on me like an overgrown shadow,
As I grit my teeth through my foggy future
In order to see what I seek,
I must see that peak
For if I climb back down again
All my efforts will end,
And there will be nothing for me around life's bend
