I Still Remember Your Name

by Timothy   Aug 26, 2011

Miles and miles have driven us apart,
And I have had half a dozen new starts;
A family or two, that always walks away,
And I have nothing at the end of the day.

The dark hair has gone thin and gray,
The muscular stance is a little decayed;
My eyes are not what they once were,
But my memories are still pure.

Decades have rolled by, without a word,
Holding onto a dream, surely is absurd;
It's a faulty hope that my youth can be reclaimed,
Because I still remember your name.
