Me Against the World

by xxxtntkaboomxxx   Aug 28, 2011

My mind's racing to try and beat the clock.

24 hours in a day, and there's always a road block.

So I take a detour and end up where I was before.

Five steps forward, ten steps back, when will I get back
on track?

So much stress, everywhere I turn, my life is a mess.

I have so many questions, yet not enough answers.

Are they even supposed to be answered?

The fights with my mom are more then I can take.

When peace is all I want to make.

Seems like all I do is work, and get nothing in return.

But when I see your smile, everything's okay for a
while.

After a long day, I put in my headphones and blast my music.

Hearing Eminem always gets me through it.

I've got friends to catch me when I fall.

Even when it seems like I have no one left to call.

Me against the world and I keep pressing on.

Me against the world 'til my problems are gone.

Good poem, I enjoyed reading it. The flow was good from beginning to end. Nicely worded.
