Memories

by Jenni   Aug 30, 2011

Sometimes I wonder
whether I seem
to forget why you
kiss me.

As familiar as
your hands stray
on my silky skin,
that extraneous did we
become during
those years.

Share your name
with me tenderly
in the tonality
of our love.

Then I will hum
quietly with you
and might
remember.

Otherwise
I will lay my heart
to rest..
with those fading
memories.

I love this! I love the emotions you've portrayed.. I really liked the beginning, and the flow of the poem was great. And the ending was bitersweet for me, I felt like it was nice but there was something sad about it. I liked your poem a lot. Well done!
