why I repeatedly do things?
Like slowly running my fingers up,
and down your arm?
It's to make sure you were real.

Constantly keeping my hand out,
even though you are busy.
To show you that I'm willing to wait forever,
until our fingers intertwined with one another,
like our hearts becoming as one.

Not a single day, even if we're far apart
That I didn't wear the promise ring.
You know why? It's to show the world..

When problems arise, I argue with you.
To show you that I care.
Despite being given the silent treatment.
At the end of the day,
neither of us can sleep, because I know..
You had the same intention.

Every tear drop that I shed after an argument,
