Pressing Delete

Finally,
i deleted all of our pictures,
the ones i've held on to for so long,
amazing memories we had,
every last one,
i got rid of.

No more,
reminiscing about the past,
going through the camera,
smiling at the pictures,
remembering every exact detail,
just throwing it all away,
forgetting all about you.

Holding back the tears
i so badly wanted to cry,
clicked yes to are you sure you want to delete,
watching it disappear,
into a long lost memory in the back of my head.

Finally,
after all this time,
i deleted every single picture,
putting you behind me for good,
no more giving in,
just finally getting over you,
by pressing delete.
