Let Her Go.

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 3, 2011

Breaking of her wings-
taking off her color....
she's aloft,
then depending on
your second arm.
You let her drown on
descending
gravity.

You catch her
bewildered iris-
do you know
she's hurting
to die inside?

Why can't you just
vanish....
then she'll face a
shard of memory,
instead of your beauty
(that serenading strike)
how it twists and coils
her heart now.

Why can't you be
the desire....
to fall apart?
