Monster.

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 4, 2011

Maybe it's the way you say goodnight....
that leaves me clutching my ribs
as if I must be psychologically composed,
like a song which whistles upon air
then ends - involving desire,
dazing the true balance.

Maybe it's how you hold me
for one period of time,
the corners of your eye
that reveal the pressure
I swallow while waiting for you.

[Is every star shaped to
be a confession of you?

How wide do you think
my heart can possibly
expand to?]

Dawn hastens-
maybe we'll speak less today
and I will silently hold my breath
to keep my fear from
expelling,
and knocking you
from my memory.

I don't know if monster is good title for this poem.. I think or at least the way i understood the poem is that someone leaves you breathless and you can't contained your feelings for that person, that they are just ready to come afloat. ( scare or fear to confess)
