Walking Alone in Fifteen Minutes

by Sami   Jun 23, 2004

Walking alone
In a crowded hall
Fifteen minutes
Walking alone
To the closest bathroom
Walking alone
Into one of the stalls
Locking the door tight
Sliding down the wall
Fifteen minutes
You open your purse
And take ahold of your razor
Fifteen minutes
Removing your bracelets
And quickly slicing your skin
Now fourteen minutes
You quickly cut again
The blood is falling to the floor
Twelve minutes
You cut once more
More deeper then the others
Nine minutes
Getting dizzy on the floor
No longer holding the blade
Five minutes
Lying on the floor
Eyes slowly closing
Two minutes
Blackness takes over
Walking alone
No longer in a crowded hall
But in a black hole.
Fifteen minutes passed
Blood has been spilled
Your lifeless body lays there
As teachers and paramedics look over
Their faces filled wit sadness
Only if they knew that you were walking alone

    Such a strong poem!
    You can feel emotions
Each line I read I was reading faster
cause of the minutes flying by!

    Great poem 5/5
