Wishing Well

by Hannah   Sep 5, 2011

Copper wishes sink into my depths.
Whilst lost dreams brim, I ripple with regret.

A thousand eyes look down at me,
and I stare back;
helpless expressions reflecting in my weary eyes.

We watch one another -
waiting with bated breath for the miracle.

It never surfaces.
