Spider Bite

by Innocent Fairy   Sep 5, 2011

This pain throbs and aches,
each step I take.
The pain...
spreading
seeping deep into my bones
making me weak.
Poison...
running through my veins
killing my joints
and paralyzing my senses.
The pain...
stronger each minute.
Growing,
taking over my knee
spelling my life sentence.
This pain throbs and aches
each step I take
deteriorating underneath
sucking my life away from me
making me sick
with painful migraines.
Eyes getting heavy
I become sleepy
as I draw my last breath
my silent cries
and finally the poison
reaching my heart,
with no final goodbyes.
I died
from nothing less
then a spider bite.

Oh what a tragic death. Thank goodness you wrote this poem. Now all we have to do is find that spider and make it pay. ;)

A very different write than your usual. Love the pain in the poem. The last lines are outstanding:

    and finally the poison
    reaching my heart,
    with no final goodbyes.
    I died
    from nothing less
    then a spider bite

I wonder if nothing "less" should be "more" to carry the metaphors meaning well.
