Am I A Fool?

by Joseph Boadi   Sep 7, 2011

I have searched and ploughed but we
But none my heart could please
Even as your shotcomings stood in view
My heart always still lit blue
For you the bottom of the world
I would fly my ship with sails unfurled
Blinded to my jaws opening wide
And indifferent to my voice ,as i cried
Tell me princess, what can i do
In return or give to you
Coloured seashell do you wish
Would you care for golden fish
Lovely pearls? oh-anything
You may ask for,i will bring
But late it is,in another hour or so
A rope in hand ready to die slow

    I strongly empathize with you!!
This poem shows the true desperation and turmoil faced during these times in our lives!!!! I have felt the same to many times and acted out some regretful actions. time is the only thing that will heal!! Great poem. God Bless!

The emotions in this poem are strong and touching, I think it was a good idea to keep the content of the last sentence till the poem ends, that way the reader is captivaed throughout the poem. The rhymes don't seem forced which I rarely see and I think you penned a good poem here.
