Constricted Confession

by Jordan W   Sep 8, 2011

Words caught in a constricted throat,
Trying to work up the courage to ask,
To confess these bubbling emotions,
To thrust into the open this fire burning deep within my soul.
I want to tell you of how a smile blooms on my face whenever my eyes touch yours,
I want to tell you of how you are the single light that shines in the darkness of life for me,
I need to confess that I have loved you ever since that first stolen kiss.
Now some might claim my feelings are only lust,
That what we might gain will simply turn to dust,
But I tell you true,
I will love you until the sun turns black and the moon shines blue.
My love for you will not be put out as easily as a candle flame.
Trust in me and I will show you a world you could never have imagined alone.
