Me and the Princess

by HidinVictim   Sep 10, 2011

There's a drumming
a heat throughout my soul
A heartbeat within my core
But this is not my own

An angel from hell
a princess to me
her eyes so lost
puddled at my feet
A silhouette so jagged
it almost can't be seen
rough as sand
strong as sea

Princess broken as wings
her life was mine to lead
we lived to lust, to covet
walked our path,
chafed and anemic.
We danced in moonlight
Sang to bees
lied to live, to be free.
Untamed and unconfined
lives of greed, immortal royalty
a disgrace to see.

A soul to be destroyed
the body to be saved
The evil must be lost,
but the fear remain

Princess broken as wings
my life was hers to lead
she lived to love,
and sing our song,
where death was honey
and breath agony

^^ this was just incredible I really liked your usage of words here!!

Ive been through what the character of this poem describes and I hated it. BUT! I absolutely loved your poem..I loved your word choice throughout the whole thing, but that stanza was my favorite.

    The last 2 lines, LOVED!!!
