Let's Do This Again

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Sep 10, 2011

Content, but nevertheless, intense
I guess seeing you again
Reminded me how much I didn't let go
So now you know
Bumping into me made you realize
That your decision may have not been wise
You feeling wounded is a surprise

It's okay; you can ask me on a date
We can go out of the state
Go to the place where we would run free
Then sit under the willow tree
You'd draw a picture of me so great
We'd make out under the cool shade
I wouldn't walk in my house until late

You tried your best to forget the good times
Hard, I know, cause I've tried
You know, missing people isn't my style
But when I thought of you, I would smile
We just had an amicable "goodbye"
But now we're both staring into each other's eyes
We'll just let that split fly, right ?

This poem is so cute :)
I can see the poem actually happening, realizing they made the wrong decision.
