A Beautiful Collision

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 10, 2011

The softness of those eyes
Erased everything I had known
Everything I once believed
They made me vulnerable again

Born outside the lines
Empirically grown
I had abandoned all theory
All dreams

Stars no longer twinkling
With the light of hope
Until I found you
Hanging in the night sky

My heart betrayed my mind
Soaring heavenward
To rest
In the safety of your arms

Two stars colliding
Finding solace in their emptiness
Recreating life
In the beauty of destruction
