Melancholia

by Meme   Sep 11, 2011

When the sun nested a golden ribbon
along the horizon, and painted a warm
beginning with the colors of autumn,
I came to this world.

As another year approaches, I stand
waiting for you, autumn, waiting for you
to add another burden upon my shoulders,
can't you see what I have became ?

Yes, I am the child of autumn, an imprisoned
soul that travels with the warm breeze of its
soundless afternoons, captivated in an endless
nights of lonesomeness.

Oh September, with you I have started
my journey to the unknown, with the falling
leaves of yours a part of me fades, I wonder
what will you bring me next year ?
