Ghastly Encounter

by Joseph Boadi   Sep 12, 2011

With my groggy looks and dagger bitten skin
gnarled arms i waded through consuming mist
my deadly cold pale legs flayed
as if its human strings were torn with rage
i could feel a stoop in my walk
as i saw twigs with bloody stalk
my palpitation could be heard from a distance
with such high frequency and untapped resonance
my own steps were a bigger threat
even with the slightest sound i would eject
i was half souled as l walked through the creepy woods
dipped into a sunless ravine where a disheveled man stood
i doubled up my pace
like Bolt running a race
in confusion and fiery i inquired
are you ill?or only tired
he continuously insisted tell me who
please tell me please do
finally my numb lips burnt off flakes of silence
because my dripping soul need soothing answers
where am i said with bitter tear
he kissed my cheeks and said softly in my ear
What! i am dead, oh- heavens dear
You're not alone we both buried here

I really loved the ending. I actually think, that this is a well written poem, but I agree to SpiritRising about the punctuation part. I like how you described everything really detailed, that painted a really vivid image, well done.
