I read this twice. You're a good writer. It's a sad story and a really bad situation. I dont know if it's true, but I do know that it's tough being a friend sometimes. It's especially tough to not be able to help someone you care for, when he/she is hurting. Sometimes all we can do is listen and hope for the best. Excellent write...thanx for sharing it
