^ I really like this positive start because it allows the reader to get into a specific mood already. I thought that your words were well chosen too, though I'd suggest you to add some punctuation as that might make it clearer.

Fate has taken course
as I give in
to destiny's calling

^ This stanza shows that even though the new situation will bring good things into your life you're still afraid to let it happen, because it might turn out bad again and end up hurting you.

This life is mine
I choose how to live it
and who shares it with me

^ I thought this stanza was really well written and the message is very strong. I can absolutely agree to it, everybody is free to chose what they want to do with their life and who should be a part of it. I am really happy that this possibility exists and I think that this is a good centre for your poem.

The fact that you come back to the stanzas you started with gave the reader to finish the poem, without thinking that there would be something missing or if it wasn't finished.

Overall I think this is a well written poem.

I think that is what makes the ride so interesting is the fire that stokes us along that path. This is stunning wording that reflects what we each desire in our adventure called love
