This is a story about A beautiful girl called Beth As perfect as a spring drought And I loved her to death A difficult childhood She was forced to struggle through Lost hope to find something good Gave up on happiness too Beneath that sad outer shell Beat a heart that craved love But on sadness she dwelled Lost faith in a God above One day she found a man Who made her feel good again Better than anything can And got addicted then Now let me explain For Charlie was his name Though at first with love he came Began to meddle with her brain So all that remained Was a heart full of pain Driving her insane Only herself to blame It's such a shame She had to leave this game Never knowing fame But she was the brightest flame Which burns out fastest Despite her great will power Failed to pass the test Of her darkest hour In the dark she wandered Like a child in her mind So she stopped and pondered But from the truth she was blind And so the story goes That she ended her life Her struggle no one knows That lead her to the knife.
