These words

by Yakari Gabriel   Sep 17, 2011

These words,
place themselves on the tip
of my tongue.

as I try,
to control myself
so I don't speak of what
was spoken ..
when lies were unfolded
and it came out
in the open..
for all that is left
is misplaced and broken.

these words,
I carry locked up
in this heart
that turn hard..
when it heard
the absurd.

these words,
that
came twisted like
the knots in her hair
along with the smell
of the air
that filled a lung
with dusty melodies
of an unsung song

these words,
failed to express
and won't clean the mess,
that was made in a haze
of a winter day
when I dreamed of
all the things
you would never say...
