Ode to my backpack

by Mividaloca08   Sep 18, 2011

As we go along towards our journey,
You are a beloved friend to me
Amidst my various belongings is not even a cell phone.
My clothes, books, sleeping bag and tent,
There are bigger bag out there,
But for you I will not relent.

Oh backpack are tried and true, you are my buddy, my friend, my boo!
I am sorry for the rain, I am sorry for the dirt
I realize you're feelings must be hurt
Your job is really tough, But baby you've got the right stuff.

Together we've been through thick and thin,
you've loved me even when I said we were not friends
You might be depressed since you have gained some weight,
I am trying my best to keep you in good shape.

The new Arcteryx backpacks may say they are better than you
But to them we say,
"I am a rubber and you are glue"
My Habagat Hamog 40 I am happy with you,
A North face backpack never would do.

Oh backpack, sweet backpack
We both miss our adventures in the mountains
Let's go away together soon
I know that you will always have my back
