Fire and Ice (a love story)

by Hallucinostic   Sep 19, 2011

Bella luna, reigning queen of the night
whom wolves hail, bringer of waxing light.
Illuminating marble, a silver seed descending,
to my lover tonight, send your light never-ending.

Bella luna, mysterious hole in the sky,
silent as a ghost, keen as a watchful eye.
In the sea of stars, you appear as a cosmic ring.
Bless me oh luna while a kiss to my love I'll bring.

Bella luna, your birth and death is like a wheel.
Never-ending, never done, like the love I feel.
Many cold hearts are now like a fire that burns.
Accompany us beautiful moon while we, lovers, wait for the golden sun's return.

As the darkened sky turns to baby blue
a welcome sun smiles in vibrant hues.
He chases the silver moon from the day
their game of tag, bonded hearts do play.

Sol rises high above the cotton clouds
giving reign to those earthbound crowds.
Sending healing warmth for weary souls
as a blue misty moon yearns for his control.

Luna shivers naked in the starry night
wanting Sols fire to infix and excite.
Sun and moon, as fire melts sweet ice
no need for more this poem is concise.

Nice imagery you have here, you two. Now I've got a perfect excuse to work on my rhyming skills. Loved the repetition as well, perfect diction and overall effect.

    keep rocking, you two!
