I met a beauty(part 1)

by The Po whet   Sep 20, 2011

It was not at all in my expectations,
but I couldn't help but show my admirations.
it was on the onset of evening,
though it seemed like a morning's beginning.
long it had been since we last met,
but I guess it was all because of fate.

for a moment I was all but gobsmacked,
as I saw her face before me unmasked.
her approach made me remember our childhood together nostalgically,
back from my oblivions she was staring at me quizzically.
her obvious transformation left me agape,
but my courage I held lest from me it escape.

I couldn't help but feel jealous
that it would be long again before we meet,
absurd enough for a second my heart stopped its' beat.
her smile alone made my soul to melt down
then I imagined,I the groom walking her down the aisle in her wedding gown.
oh!how irresistable she appeared.

for a moment fairytale became reality,
her creator possessing in her his creativity.
no one like her I've seen so perfect
and splendid she was in her every aspect.
as we parted ways captivating was her gait
rooted on the same place my eyes escorted her to her gate.

I like this poem so much. The thoughts are brilliant. But one comment: too much descriptions that kind of broke the flow.

    But overall, I love this.
