Money is what motivates
Keeping us alive
Long enough to maybe thrive
We watch stories go from rags to riches
Filled with many abundance and all
But also, we don't see what lies deep
The currency we try so hard to keep
Life may seem complicated
We don't see the simplicity of it all
What we worked so hard for
Are the many things we take for granted
We see other family with fewer resources
Yet, they have the fundamental bases
To channel out the prejudice faces
They made it threw
Made the best of what's give
While our home was slowly deteriorating
Even with all the materials
It was too far for repair
It couldn't replace what was once almost there
