Cold Shoulder

by Joseph Boadi   Sep 22, 2011

Now,one evening,two months after
Am still dead beat and without laughter
Making a clean breast of what we shared
Of our last kisses as we spared
I wish,i could throw in the towel
But my heart still deems it a foul
Or do i need to wait till the clouds roll by?
Where we would see eye to eye and our heads need not bow?
Our love was a novel i always read
"You should see",another said
Actually its pretty small
Only has five tales in all
My soul,my heart,my mind would cry aloud
Tell us,when would this dirge be an ode dont be proud
Or would you give a cold shoulder?
To my feelings,or rather crush them with a boulder?
Question after question,i would ask
Hoping my plight would drive through your soul like an axe

OMG!!! This is lovely! I love how it seems like sweet torture to part with a loved one. This poem has a nice beat to it, it's musical. Great work!

It expresses well the increase of the strenght of uncertainty as time passes with no true change of status, and the immense desperation for resolution!! thas what i got out of it, you did an excellent job!
