Ode To The Paper Crane

by Terri Lynn   Jun 23, 2004

Paper Crane, paper crane,
Your life so simple, your life a game.
Intricate folds, create your beauty,
Fragile mold, but you know your duty.
You paper wings, do not give flight,
But what you stand for, shapes new heights.
A life of a child, can be improved,
Just my touching your every grove.
You stand for hope, after the fight.
You give the blind, some hope for sight.
Blue and red, green and gold,
Paper crane, it's you I hold.
Faith for tomorrow, for family, for friend,
Just incase, my life should end.
Paper crane, paper crane,
Your life so simple, your life a game.

*This poem is inspired by Sadako and her papercranes.*
