Taken life...

by Matthew Schut   Sep 28, 2011

Nothing in this room but shadows
As they begin to surround my bed
"We want you, just end it tonight,
Why live, you should be dead"

As they draw close, my heart races
They grab my neck and begin to choke
I reach for my knife but I'm losing strength
Sweating, my shirt is soaked

They grab my own knife
And begin to stab me
First it was my stomach
Next my eyes, I cannot see

I can feel the blood
Running down my face
I hear a whisper so cold
"You are a disgrace"

I can't feel my legs
I'm starting to gasp for air
I hear faint laughter
I can feel them, a cold stare

As I lie in my bed lifeless
My body is now numb
I realize I've got nothing left
And my life is now done...

Rhyme and flow was a sure winner. The emotions penned are extreme giving the poem punch and character of it's own. An excellent poem of emotion and loss.

    Wow, deep!

Nothing in this room but shadows
As they begin to surround my bed
"We want you, just end it tonight,
Why live, you should be dead"
-You can picture hearing this laying down in bed at night.

The pain thats going out shines through, it flows so well. I love it(:
