The Last Yearn

by Lonely Rider   Sep 28, 2011

Tiny circles of silver ashes,
decked her wings ,
as she orbed around
trampled remnants,

smoke filled milieu,
beckoned her,
among eerie copper leaves,
-Fluttering-
desperately she searched
for her summer bloom,
with lively purple petals.

awaiting her arrival,
soaked in lonely moonlit sighs,
S L O W L Y
faded in the dark,
a life.

Your poems are always beautiful written and touching Raj.... and I just loved this one by you. You have a way with words, and a real talent that shines in this piece. You have brought nature, sadness, and love all together and produced an exquisite write :))

Raj, this has to be about a butterfly. That is the image that immediately came to mind but if the reader really looks more closely it could also be about a young. If that is the case, good use of metaphors. In any event, well done.
