You Trick Me

by Zara Baines   Sep 28, 2011

You Trick Me

You hide away,
So I believe
I'm safe to stay
Safe to breathe

Then I find
You're here again
You never left
You just pretend

You like to build me
To watch me fall
Why don't I see?
You stand tall

Why do I keep trying
I think it safe
Yet your there lying
Lying in wait

Waiting for the hope to build
The stress to leave
For it all to come back.
You watch me bleed

Love the way you flowed this piece, effortlessly! The sadness portrayed through being lied and used was expressed nicely, simple, short, and to the point with a clear topical message, nicely done.

I have only just read your comment, thank you so much for taking the time to do so.

I was referring to my anxiety and depression in the poem.
