Quam Amicis

by Aerie Gerard   Sep 29, 2011

Hey baby, will you come with me to dance?
Its easy baby, just take my hands.
We can lock eyes or we can look away,
You can step on my toes, I'll think of what to say.
I catch those beautiful eyes and I just smile,
Sorry if I'm clumsy, its been a while.
In the neon lights, I catch my breath.
Nothing personal, but this could be my death.
You walk away, the moments gone,
I need you now, this second or none.
I take your hands, I kiss your lips.
I'm full of questions, so answer me this;
Did you feel the sparks, or was that just me?
You're killing me baby, just leave me be.
Soaked in the rain, a dark and cloudy place,
I swear to god I've never seen a prettier face.
How many hits can I take to my heart?
One glance your way and I'm falling apart.
Do you know what you do, do you have a clue?
I fall so fast, its too good to be true.
If I can fall asleep with your hand in my mine,
Can I wake up to those pretty lips every time?
God its just a trap, I cant love anyone more,
But here I am in the rain, you leave me at the door.
Now before I fall down into the abyss,
Tell me something, answer me this;
Did you feel the sparks, or was that just me?
I'm trapped in your laugh, tripping on my feet.
