Moon-wrecked Luft Balloons

by RainbowSlider   Oct 2, 2011

Wanting but not willing.
Haunting but not chilling.
Daunting but not thrilling.

I am stuck on the moon.
Watching others spoon.
Its a normal afternoon.

Collecting balloons that get away.
Saving them for a summer day.
Stray balloons come my way.

Kids let them go at the park.
Little strings leave their mark.
Discarded balloons in the dark.

The earth is an umbilical cord.
But not one that I can afford.
I put a balloon with the hoard.

Planets floating in outer space.
Strings gone without a trace.
Lost in another time and place.

Woo Hoo Three line rhyme! I usually use a powerline after my 3 line rhyme but at any rate I was excited to see someone else use it
Enjoyed this nature read. God Bless.
