Imagination's Story

My imagination is full of dreams
Of happy endings so it seems
You and I happily together
In each others arms living forever
In this place the sun will rise
Because our love brought it to the skies
A scenic picture now displayed
Of you and I under the starry gaze
Lying together in wonderful bliss
As you press forward to leave a kiss
A kiss that imprints itself in my soul
And now another story begins to unroll
Of you and I on our wedding day
Excitedly giving ourselves away
Vowing to never leave each others side
As we venture through this world so wide
This wondrous tale continues on
As my imagination ponders along
Of you and I and what our love did form
Two wonderful children so tender and warm
The years go by as we taught and played along
And watched the fruits of our love grow strong
Another vision begins to unfold
Of you and I now frail and old
And when at last life was forever done
Our souls departed and became one
