Freaky Dancers

by paige   Oct 2, 2011

You take my hand and ask for a
dance before we get old and die
you look dapper with your bow tie
on and Im in my bestest red dress

we can party in our own little world
because people can be cruel,vicious,cold
we're dancing like idiots but it feels so good
your my favouritest person,my under cover lover
serendipity will always keep us together

onlookers frown but thats hilarious
we dont care because we're marvelous
we keep jamming to the music thats playing
we're safe in this crazy daze,so we keep on swaying

I think this is a nice poem. My wife and I have been in our own world on the dance floor several times. Way to capture a common human emotion in poetry. good stuff
