Why did you leave the way you did,
you broke my heart in two,
Best friends - you said forever,
now i don't know what to do,

I thought we could get through it,
after all we make mistakes,
but I find it hard to forgive you,
sorry is all it takes,

You never even apologised,
for treating me this way,
You filled me up with lies,
and now i have to pay,

I believed you when you said,
you'd always be there for me,
but one day you just dropped me,
and the hurt you cannot see,

I wanted to email you today,
but I felt like it was wrong,
after months of silence,
I felt it had been too long,

I closed my heart back up,
and never let anyone in since then,
I told you everything about me,
now i can't be hurt again,

I will always love you,
but I can't mend what was said,
or how it hurt me deep inside,
I need to clear my head,

I guess our friendship is over,
but I don't regret anything at all,
We were the best of friends,
since we were very small,

Oh how time passes so fast,
and how we let things slide,
but at least I know the truth,
